The Huddle
Hey guys, do you ever wish you could get back into a huddle? I don’t know about you but I have many fond memories of my time in huddles. Huddles were great – they were a place of encouragement, direction, and rest. In the huddle the play was called, assignments clarified, and then we would go run the play and huddle up again.
As a husband and father I have often wished that the simplicity of the huddle could be transferred to family relationships. Just think how great it would be if you could hear your wife and kids yell “Ready Break!” after you had given everyone their assignments. Too often our desire for simplicity leads us to blame our team for not coming to our huddle.
There is a better way, and it is God’s way. If you are ready to commit to being a godly husband and father then join me at Doug’s on Tuesday mornings at 6:15 a.m. We will start promptly at 6:15, so get there early and order your breakfast. I will teach for 20 minutes, and then we will have some Small Group discussion time. You can leave when you need to for work. Our topic will be “The Search for Authentic Manhood.” Remember real men love Jesus!
