Men’s Ministry

We believe that real men love Jesus! Our Men are involved in many different ministries. We have two annual retreats, one that is focused around a spiritual theme and the other that is usually based on a sports focus like golf, fishing, hunting or some other activity that men enjoy.

Our men meet monthly on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the church Fellowship Hall. Men of all ages are invited to the monthly gathering. In addition to a delicious meal and fellowship our meetings include guest speakers, testimonies, prayer, and the planning of mission projects done in and around our community.

The Huddle is a men’s Bible study led by our Lead Pastor, Dr. Warner Smith, on Tuesday mornings at 6:15 a.m. at Doug’s Place in downtown Emerson. Join us as we learn about authentic manhood.

We also have men who serve in the Disaster Relief Ministry of Georgia Baptists. Some of our men have helped Bartow, Paulding, Cobb, and Cherokee county residents clean up after tornadoes or strait line winds destroyed their property. Men and women from our church gave aid to the victims of hurricanes Katrina and Rita among others. We have also aided in the clean-up efforts after the flooding of north Georgia in September 2009.

Annually we join together to go on a mission trip where we will have a Vacation Bible School and help build churches or rebuild homes devastated by natural disasters.

We also have men mentoring men individually through one-on-one discipleship.
